WHEN TRAVELLING ABROAD WITH A CAR RENTAL It is essential to know the rules and regulations on the roads of the Country you are visiting whilst on holiday to avoid the risk of accident or breaking the law of the land, especially when you are intending to purchase a holiday car rental for the duration of your stay and for getting from A to B and exploring the surrounding areas. Most countries in Europe drive on the right hand side except the UK when the left hand side is favoured. The USA, Canada and Mexico drive on the right hand side of the road. However Australia and New Zealand also favour the left hand side. There are rules and regulations to abide by such as fastening of seat belts and maximum capacity for each individual car rental and violation of these rules vary from Country to Country dependent on how dangerous such violation is perceived in each country - some carry extreme penalties when violated. When intending to travel abroad and using a car rental during your stay, please read up about road regulations before you arrive at your holiday destination.
